Business Isle of Man, an Executive Agency within the Department for Enterprise, has partnered with Visit Isle of Man and local commissioners across the Island as part of a branding project to promote the unique identities of the Island’s towns and villages.


Work on the project began last week as over 30 businesses met in Port Erin to discuss the town’s unique attributes and attractions for locals and visitors.


Tim Crookall MLC, member with responsibility for Business Isle of Man, commented:

‘Last week’s meeting elicited a very positive response from Port Erin and I’d like to thank the commissioners and all the businesses who contributed to the next steps of the project. This development forms part of our commitment to attract more visitors to our Island and support our businesses across all stages of their growth.’ 


Adrian Moore, Head of Business Isle of Man, commented:

‘The project aims to promote greater movement across the Isle of Man from local residents, and increase visibility of the individual towns to visitors through a coordinated branding approach. It will run across seven towns around the Island, creating unique identities for residents to embrace and share. The project aims to increase awareness of the attractions, retailers, accommodation and food and drink establishments within the towns and enhance the visitor experience for locals and visitors alike.’


The next meetings will be held in conjunction with local commissioners, Business Isle of Man, and Visit Isle of Man:
