Business Isle of Man supports the more traditional and specialist niche sectors.
The Island’s business sectors are split between export-based and domestic-focussed businesses. Those sectors involved with the export of physical goods and related services from the Isle of Man, include engineering and manufacturing, biomed, food and drink and clean tech.
Business Isle of Man also supports sectors within the Island’s domestic economy, including construction, retail, logistics, medical and healthcare, and private education.
Business Isle of Man was created to support the Island’s exporting and domestic business clusters, coordinating the promotion and development of opportunities within these sectors in order to ensure the Isle of Man is a prosperous and vibrant place to live and work.
As an Executive Agency within the Department for Enterprise, Business Isle of Man is a public/private partnership acting as a key decision maker and advisory body to help drive economic growth within those sectors under its responsibility.
