Isle of Man Celebrates 15 Great Taste Award Wins

06 August 2025

Business Isle of Man and the Department of Environment, Food & Agriculture (DEFA) congratulate all the winners of this year’s Great Taste Awards. A total of 15 food and drink products from the Isle of Man have received recognition in the 2025 awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food.

This year’s winners reflect the Island’s growing reputation for quality, creativity, and excellence in food and drink production. The awarded products span a variety of categories, from artisan meats and baked goods to innovative seasonings and beverages, with seven different local businesses receiving accolades.

Steve Pickett, Chair of Business Isle of Man, commented:

‘Congratulations to all of this year’s Great Taste award-winners from the Isle of Man. The Island’s success in the awards is a testament to the exceptional quality and passion of our local producers. These awards not only celebrate individual excellence but also highlight the strength of our food and drink sector as a whole. Business Isle of Man is committed to supporting local producers as they continue to grow, innovate, and bring world-class products to the market.
‘The recent success of the Southern District Agricultural Show in July further showcased the vibrancy of our local industry, and many of the Great Taste award-winning producers will be exhibiting at the upcoming Royal Manx Agricultural Show.’

Daniel Andre Kleynhans, Director Lush Bakes, commented:

‘We are very fortunate to have received 4 Great Taste awards this year, in addition to the 2 we received in 2024, as well as the recent Manx Menu Food Product of the Year Award 2025. Although the roots of our products are from South Africa, one of the main factors that contribute to their unique taste is directly due to our commitment to locally sourced ingredients, from Isle of Man Creamery, Laxey Glen Flour (for our rusks), and Fynoderee Distillery (for their Spiced Manx Rum contributing to the unique taste of our Glashtyn Salted Rum & Raisin Fudge).
‘Prestigious awards like these not only promote our products internationally, but also showcases the quality of produce available in the Isle of Man. We would also like to thank all of our local customers and retailers for their support, as without them, this journey would have never been possible.’

The Great Taste accreditation is widely recognised by both consumers and retailers, providing a valuable platform for producers to grow their visibility locally and internationally. As one of the most prestigious award schemes in the global food and drink industry, Great Taste attracts over 14,000 entries each year, all judged through rigorous blind tasting by a panel of more than 500 experts.

Business Isle of Man and DEFA continue to work closely together in partnership with the sector to promote the Island’s food and drink offering, supporting initiatives that drive growth, visibility, and export potential.
